About This Tool
### Roll for Initiative!
Combat in Dungeons & Dragons (or Pathfinder) can get messy. Who goes next? How much HP does the goblin have? Did the Bard already take their turn?
This **Initiative Tracker** streamlines combat management so you can focus on the storytelling, not the bookkeeping.
### How to Use
1. **Add Combatants**: Enter a name (e.g., "Goblin 1", "Aragorn"), their Initiative Roll, and their Max HP.
2. **Auto-Sort**: The list automatically orders everyone from highest initiative to lowest.
3. **Track Damage**: Update HP in real-time as players land hits.
Key Features
- **Auto-Sorting**: Keeps the turn order correct automatically.
- **HP Tracking**: Simple numeric inputs to track damage/healing.
- **Dynamic List**: Add reinforcements mid-battle instantly.
- **System Agnostic**: Works for D&D 5e, 3.5, Pathfinder, or any d20 system.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I handle ties?
If two creatures tie on initiative, the DM usually decides the order (often comparing Dexterity scores). In this tool, you can just manually edit the initiative number (e.g., set one to 14.1) to force a specific order.
Does this save my encounter?
Currently, this is a session-based tool. If you refresh the page, the encounter will reset. A save feature is coming in a future update!
